I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.

America is the most beautiful and amazing nation on earth.

I started this site because I became tired of hearing so many negative comments about our country and our people. We are such a generous and caring nation that we are often taken advantage of.

May 1, 2007 was the second time that Americans witnessed protests in American cities where flags from other nations were flown with pride and American flags were flown upside down, flown under foreign flags upside down, burned, stepped on and written on with anti-American slogans. As a citizen of this fine country, I felt compelled to fight back against those whom I felt were disrespectful to our country, our flag, our rule of law, and our citizens. I simply cannot condone the breaking of our laws by anyone crossing our borders illegally and then demanding our greatest treasure, that of citizenship.

Just that quickly, I left behind my quite uninvolved life and began educating myself. I have never been an activist for any issue. I was more comfortable sitting home with my family and leaving political issues to those more outspoken but in this instance, I could not sit back and say nothing. I realized that because I was aware, I was obligated to act. This was new to me and not entirely comfortable at first but I soon learned that if we love our country, our home and our families, then we are all compelled to speak out when an obvious wrong is taking place.

Protesters in the streets of my homeland flying other national flags while treating my flag with contempt and disrespect? Wrong. Illegals making demands of MY government with the help of big business, special interests, and greedy politicians? Wrong. Rewarding illegal behavior, granting legal status, benefits, and social services to people who have broken our laws? Wrong. Americans losing the quality of their lives due to depressed wages, job loss and increasing tax burdens, Wrong! Risking the lives of Americans, the quality of our lives, our culture and our sovereignty by refusing to secure our borders and enforce our existing laws? Wrong. I wonder how many Americans realize that between 12- 25 Americans die at the hands of people illegally here on American soil each day? These are preventable deaths. Wrong wrong wrong!

And so, I was compelled to get involved. I did not seek out activism. Activism sought me out. Once you know the truth, once you have seen the results of illegal immigration, open borders, unchecked social spending, you become obligated as a citizen of this country to act and so I did.

I worked closely with several organizations to get the word out to the American people that Senate Bill 1348 & 1639 were nothing more then budget busting amnesty legislation for between 12-20 million people who did not even respect us enough as a people and as a nation to follow our laws and come here legally. Sadly the main stream media, with the exception of Lou Dobbs and caller driven radio shows, often confused the facts, either intentionally or due to poor journalistic skills, by lumping illegal aliens in with legal immigrants. The undertone of so many stories being that Americans are afraid of diversity. We are selfish and lazy. We want slave labor to do the work that we won't do but we don't want the workers to reap the benefits of their efforts. They refused to listen to the voice of the American people who cried out that this was never about race since illegal aliens come here from every country on this planet. This was not about jobs Americans won't do. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a fair living wage.

This has always been about the rule of law, our American sense of fair play, and securing our country from those with less then honorable intentions. It is about respecting the legal immigrant and the sacrifices that they have made to come to America not for a job opportunity, but to become Americans. It is very unfair to those new residents of our country who respected our nation, did the work, waited in line, paid the price, and then finally took their places here with dignity in their new homes. It was unfair to cheapen their efforts by attempting to give away without consideration, what they had worked and dreamed and waited for. It is an insult to legal immigrants and it would cheapen our citizenship.

Happily, Americans saw this legislation for what it was and made their feelings known in a very loud insistent way until the Capitol phone system crashed and a third cloture vote crashed too. Thanks to wonderful Senators like Senator Sessions, Senator DeMint, Senator Vitter, Senator Dorgan and Senator Saunders who told the American that we were about to get a very bad deal, the legislation ended up where all good refuse belongs, in the garbage.  I will not bother to name the politicians who worked against the will of the American people. I refuse to give them space on my site. They know who they are, they know what they did, they know why the did it, and they know they were wrong.

I would be remiss not to mention the good Congressmen who are vocal in defending our right to secure our borders and earn a decent living wage, Congressman Tom Tancredo, Congressman Duncan Hunter, Congressman Steve King, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Congressman Bilbray and many others who were prepared to fight the amnesty legislation should it have passed in the Senate. But there were plenty who were not prepared to represent the best interest of the American people.

I suppose I was naive in thinking that those on the hill always acted in the best interest of the people of America. I was wrong. I have learned that money and greed can drive a leader to ignore the will of the American people and to do what they know is not in the best interest of our country if the price is right. It was a hard wake up call for me, being a basically trusting person. I must admit that as a veteran and the spouse of a retired disabled veteran it was a hard pill to swallow.

Our president, George W. Bush hurt my spouse and I, and I suspect most Americans, when in a speech he gave, he stated in essence that those acting against this bad legislation did not want to do what is best for America and were afraid of diversity. Hearing our Commander in Chief saying that was like a slap in the face. Truthfully, it hurt. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, speaking at a La Raza gathering said "we're gonna tell the bigots to shut up". The gloves were off and the American people who were concerned about the safety and security of our country and our willingness to turn a blind eye to the crimes being committed against us were branded as racists. This was an inept attempt to intimidate Americans from speaking out. Thankfully, that attempt failed. Americans of all races stood together and fought back, understanding fully that this was an issue of rule of law and not of race.

Watching all of this transpire has caused me to realize that our country is not defined by its current administration. The members of the government are temporary. The American people and our spirit are permanent. And it is our job, our obligation to fill offices, not with those who the media hand picks for us, not with those who will pander to big business and the perks that can bring them, not to special interest groups who have an agenda that doesn't benefit the American citizen, but with leaders who can be trusted with our safety, security and prosperity and who respect at all times our rule of law and our constitution.

I believe that it is a disgrace that in this time in American history, when our bravest and most beautiful young American men and woman are fighting and making the ultimate sacrifice in other countries to secure a democracy, that our leaders, the very leaders that sent them into harms way, are failing to enforce our laws, follow our constitution and secure or borders from all invaders. I speak not only of people coming here to work, but also of the gang members, human smugglers, drug runners and terrorists. Any thinking individual will know that an open border during a time of war is a disaster waiting to happen. We only have to remember September 11th 2001, The Fort Dix Six, and the attempted attack on the JFK Airport just this year to understand that our system is broken only because our current laws are not being enforced. The borders are wide open and we have no idea who is in our country on expired visas. It is idiocy to assume that all of those here are here only to pick lettuce. Why does our government fail to understand what the American people so easily understand. If it is not ignorance, and I don't believe it is, then it is intentional.

While our soldiers fight and die in Iraq and Afghanistan, our borders remain dangerously unguarded, open, vulnerable. This is inexcusable. There is no reason that our borders should be left unsecured while we fight over an amnesty and a guest worker program. The two issues are separate. There are existing laws on the books that mandate a fence and holding facilities be built and that borders agents be hired and trained. The simple truth is, our government has not the will nor the desire to secure our borders at this time.  I believe that our security is being held hostage for the purpose of forcing us, through fear and intimidation, to accept an amnesty which will benefit big business, local and federal government, and special interests, while putting an unbearable tax burden, social burden and societal burden on the American people. Border Security is the leverage needed to press an issue for which the American just cannot stomach. The very President who signed into law the mandate to build a fence and never built it, suddenly found the will to put up 4.4 billion dollars to build the same fence when the amnesty bill was going down and needed a little sweetener. Now that the bill has been defeated, where is that 4.4 billion? Where is the rush to secure the border now? One can only surmise that the border fence funding the President promised was only an issue when the amnesty bill was in danger of defeat. The will of the American people be damned.

Now that we have found our collective voice, now that the leaders of our country understand that there is only so much the American people will tolerate, we must act decisively. We must fill every seat in government from the smallest town council to the office of the President with Americans who have the best interest of the American people and our country as their first priority. For me, the first consideration is love and respect for our country and its rule of law. You can tell a tree by the fruit it produces. We must not only listen to the words of our politicians, we must consider their works as well. Talk is cheap. How do they vote? You can tell  lot about a politician by looking at his prior votes. I don't know about the rest of America but I am tired of being feed a constant stream of picture perfect candidates who say pretty things. I am tired of leaders who are re-elected term after term because they are the status quo. Please, give me someone who is real! Give me someone who speaks from their hearts and not from their wallet! Give me someone who has a passion for our country and our people and who will hold our safety, security, and prosperity as their first priority. Please give me someone to vote for who is proud of America and her citizens.

It is bad enough that others who have their own agendas bad mouth us and take every opportunity to insult our intentions and our actions but more and more I hear it coming from our own people through all of the different forms of media. It has become fashionable to print or report the most seedy news. Dirty laundry sells and any attempt to balance the sordid with the enlightened has long since been abandoned.  Stories of Celebrities fill the headlines in the Main Stream Media, to deaden the minds of the American people and to distract us from the travesty going on right now in our government. Hollywood,  the Music industry, and the news media treat celebrities as if they are diplomats, hanging on their every word and never asking them the hard questions. So many of these actors, comedians, and entertainers have such a jaded, shame based, apologist attitude about our country. Maybe they have shame because they feel they are over compensated with fame and fortune to such an extent that they can not justify their good fortune. Perhaps they feel undeserving in their castles on the hills. But they have forgotten the real America they left behind.

Most of us do not live in mansions, drive Bentleys, shop in exclusive stores or make obscene amounts of money for our work. Most of us live in the real world. Most of us are working overtime to buy a modest home, put food on the tables and send our kids to college. We are not greedy oppressors. We are family people trying to pay for our children's braces and sneakers. There is just such a disconnect between the American people and the media and politicians. They seem to have a case of low self esteem that they feel the need to project onto the rest of Americans who unlike the celebrities, do not have a platform to speak out against such skewed thinking.

It was after watching a movie on HBO this week, American Dreamz, that I became so disgusted with what I perceived to be slanted propaganda thinly disguised as satire that I decided to make a place for the rest of America. A place where it is okay to be proud of who we are as a people and as a nation. A place where it is not only okay but insisted upon that we celebrate our national heritage, our culture, our history, and our identity as Americans. And so having said all of this, if you have a jaded opinion about my country, go somewhere else. There are more then enough venues for you to spew your loathing. This is not the site for you. No one will ever talk down my country in my presence again without getting an earful from me!

I plan to fly my flag, sing songs of patriotism, and shine a light on the beauty that is America and her citizens.

Since the media, Hollywood and the elites don't speak for me, and I suspect millions of other Americans, I wanted to make a place for us to express ourselves.  A place to brag about our homeland. A chance to brag about our people. And so, I have.

Welcome to a celebration of Americanism!

Americans are the finest most decent people on this planet. We are generous to a fault. We sacrifice our lives all over the world to serve others. We care deeply for humanity. We are a decent, hardworking, giving, loving, caring people.
